    Safety Features

    STEEL SAFETY TOE
In 1995 OSHA began enforcing a new standard for personal protective equipment. As part of this standard employers now require ASTM F2413-11 rated safety footwear in areas where employees are exposed to injuy as a result of falling or rolling objects. All steel toe boots with this icon meet or exceed ASTM F2413-11 I/75 C/75 standards.

    ELECTRICAL HAZARD
The soles of EH shoes provide a barrier to protect employees from open electrical currents up to 600 volts. EH shoes are often needed in maintenance, welding and engineering positions. All styles marked with the “EH” icon in this catalog meet the ASTM F2413-11 EH standard.

    WATERPROOF
Waterproof boots and shoes are constructed to keep the feet dry and comfortable in wet conditions. Waterproof construction requires continuous maintenance and is not guaranteed to remain for the life of the shoe.

    SLIP RESISTANT
Slip resistant safety footwear is the fastest growing segment of the safety footwear industry. For many employers with wet, oily, and/or greasy floors, it is common sense to require slip resistant safety footwear. Slip related injuries can be extremely costly. No shoe is slip proof, however employers who require slip resistant shoes can reduce worker’s compensation claims.

    One Of The Best

    By Frankie - Posted 05/10/17

Have been in Work boots 22+ years. Keens top many of them. These are no Walmart boots, but like the Caterpillar work boots, they'll resist rain but not heavy rain, and once the get soaked, the insides want to stay wet. Truthfully, I've had them upside down on a floor vent 3 days to dry them out. Still, they are comfortable. Would prefer an alloy or composite toe. Can take real beating and abuse. I work Gas & Diesel transport in all weather. Will slip on ice but has good traction in normal conditions.

    Great boot

All around solid boot. Have been wearing the same pair for over a year and they are still in good condition. No holes or punctures. Only problem was one of the lace loops broke, but a quick call to keen retailers and they replaced the boot same day. Would definitely buy again.
